Animal Services
The Town of Sharon Ordinance 16 regards the control of all livestock, poultry, and other animals within town limits. If you are not able to resolve the animal-related issue on your own, please reach out to Town Hall at 803-927-1927. The Town of Sharon will initially try to resolve the issue via phone calls or letters. If the town’s efforts do not suffice we will reach out to York County Animal Control for assistance.
To report a deceased animal on roadway:
~ If you wish to report a deceased animal on any State maintained road in York County, call the SC Department of Transportation, if you live in the western York County area, call 803-684-4511.
~If there is a deceased animal on a County maintained road, such as a gravel road, call York County Road Maintenance at 803-628-3200.
~You may drop off deceased domestic animals at York County Solid Waste Disposal located at 289 Public Works Road, York, South Carolina. The deceased pet must be placed in double plastic bags.
