Town Awarded RIA Grant

The Town of Sharon has been awarded a grant from the SC Rural Infrastructure Authority (RIA), Grant # S-26-1453, in the amount of $358,875.00. These funds will be used for the replacement of the Shannon St water lines, to include approximately 1000 L. F. of 6” water line, tie to existing lines, valves, fittings, hydrants, the reconnecting of existing services to the new line, and the abandoning and plugging of old lines and appurtenances. This work will not only benefit current customers but will be an asset to any future development.
The design and engineering are being overseen by Joel Wood & Associates. Permits have been issued and the process is well underway.
